Following on from various posts about printing, I thought it might be useful to see how we mount and frame our images.
Having printed and dried my images, I choose a suitably coloured mounting board (which I normally buy from Lion) and cut to the required dimensions for my frame. I then cut out the centre rectangle using a Logan 650 framers edge, or if it is an oval I use the Logan oval mat cutter.
I buy my frames from a supplier/manufacturer in Glasgow, who is reasonably priced and makes any size and style to order.
Having thoroughly cleaned the frame glass, the mounted image is then placed in the frame with the backing replaced and sealed with a decent tape (again from Lion).
The attached photo is definately NOT for critique, just to show the mount cutting equipment and a typical frame I use.
Best wishes
Phil

Thanks Phil - I've dropped you an offline e-mail on this and a specific query.
