How much is my old canon 600/f4 worth?

I've been dreading this day. I'm thinking about getting rid of this beast and investing in some other glass. Any advice on what I should ask for this? Maybe after hearing replies I'll decide I'd rather keep it. The glass is perfect, no scratches, no internal dust. The body is scratched up but all functions are 100%. I have the old trunk case which is pretty beat up and it came with the clear filter insert.

See if they have one a KEH camera brokers. Their prices are probably a good indication of the most you could ask. I mean their selling prices, not their buying prices. Pete D.

You could explore this on the Fred Miranda buy/sell board, the most active place I know for buy/sell gear.

My guess, around $3500 - just an approximation. You would be better off posting a "testing the waters" post at fredmiranda.com buy/sell asking what the going rate is. You may find a local buyer that way, the safest way to sell any equipment.
