Like beauty and the beast this, the contrast between bird and "stick" is quite complimentary. Like it loads.

Very clean and colourful.
I like the BG a lot too, it makes the Kingfisher stand out nicely.

Hi Andy,

I like the composition, BG and perch. The colours of the Kingfisher are nice and vibrant but the only nit from me is that the white patch under the chin looks blown and draws my eye.

Nice one... I do think that you can reduce the EV in conversion a touch, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a stop and introduce a touch of contrast with a gentle S curve, don't push the curve up and down but move the points inwards slightly, this will increase the mid tone contrast with minimal effect on the highlights and shadows.

Super, great pose and perch. I feel the blues are a bit to the light side ? :toast:

A little less brightness on the bird, particularly the whites, and a small crop to lose a little of the space from behind the bird and I think you'll be left with a really nice shot.
I like contrasting size of the large perch and small bird. :toast:

A bit hot and i find the branch a bit too overpowering and a crop might well help an otherwise pleasing image.
