This summer I plan on selling my images in my first art fair. What would be the best size images to display on the wall panels. Is bigger better?20x30 or larger? Or use smaller prints and display more images?.I have wall panels for a 12'x12' area. How much stock should one have on hand of each image displayed.
Thanks

Bigger prints draw them in and then lots of smaller ones sell. Typically though, the bigger and more colorful the pieces you have on the wall the better the crowd. You may even find some people who want to buy the big ones too.

The only question still unanswered is "how much stock"... Start with two of each size if you want to be reasonably sure of keeping images in front of customers. You'll learn over time which images sell best, and you'll probably want to keep more of those images in stock as you figure it out. If you don't have display space for all of that stock, you might consider keeping the spares under your table(s) or behind a partition.
I found out the hard way that small prints on the wall don't sell well. Make big prints for the walls - big, easy-to-view, engaging pieces. There are always exceptions, of course; I get a lot of engagement with a few of my more subtle pieces, but I won't be making them into 20x30s any time soon (except by request).
