Speaking of Trees....
Digging out a film camera and Ilford HP5 a few weeks ago, this is one of the photos I came away with. Does this work for anyone?

It's definitely interesting, Toni. I hate trying to judge these types of images with such a small file size, but I'll say I do like it; however, I wish for a little more black areas. I'd try burning in a select few trees to grab the viewer.

I like it Toni, I see what your after here with all the vertical lines, its the ones with all the choas I don't understand. Well done

I agree with Robert about increasing the density of the dark values and the dodging and burning, it comes across as a bit flat. Some of the parallax distortion is a bit distracting for me as well. This could be corrected in photoshop to a large extent if you wanted. I like all of the strong verticals and the snow to contrast with the dark pine trunks. Did you develop the HP5 yourself? I have some fond memories of that film.

Thanks guys. I can do more work on it as far as the tree trunks go, no problem.

Joel....not this time, but I have processed it the past. Great film to work with, whether shooting it or processing!

I like the stark black and white lines of this. I agree w/ the perspective distortion. software could help alleviate that.
