Today in the mail I recieved my first prints since my jump into large format. I had a few little 8x10's done for some testing, and then had 2 20x24 LightJet prints done from Photocraft in Boulder. I'm totally blown away! I remember soooo many times going into many of the LF galleries in and around Zion thinking, "someday, i'll have prints of my own like that", now the day has come, and I couldn't be happier. I want to thank all of the members here. You guys have gave me so much info. since joining. All of the comments you folks have given me on my images really has enabled me to make some great prints. Special thanks to TK, Guy, Tony L, RichieV, Anil, and i'm sure a few others i'm forgetting. I finally made it!

I am delighted to hear about these! I love big prints too. Nothing like a great shot done on LF film and then printed huge. Congrats!!

Congrats! That is a good feeling isn't it? I'll never forget seeing my first 44"x55"... at that moment it all made sense.

Adam, you have some great stuff in your porfolio. These kinds of posts tempt me to get into LF.

Congrats on the prints Adam! It definitly is a great feeling to be able to make a large print that holds up even when you press your nose against it.

I was perusing you photos - they are fantastic. Which ones did you print?

BTW - please print one at 60x48 and then stick your tongue out at Tony L!

Congrats Adam!! It's kinda fun, isn't it? You're in trouble now!!! I've been fortunate enough to make a number of quite large prints from my 4x5's, including this one that was approx. 4'x7': Park Meadows print.

I'm with Rene, which ones did you print? I too have drooled over your portfolio page, and would love to see ANY of those image blown up huge!! Let us know when you do!!

I printed "sapphire sunset" and "zion cascades". I took a lot of the advice on the cascades image and reworked it. I think its much better than when i posted it originally. Rene- I'm afraid to print one that big and then gloat at Tony. He'll go get one from an 8x10 and then i'll go cry in the corner!

Adam - both of those are SWEET!

I tried to get one from the bridge, but it seemed that everyone lined up hours before sunset, so I was never able to get a shot from there.

Nice job!!! :toast:
