Nice capture of the bird and it really does look like just a ball of feathers!! The twig will look even more appealling in about 2-3 weeks!!

Nice shot of a bird which rarely stays still for longer than 1 sec. in my experience.

Hi Phil,

Good to see you're still out and about! No accidents recently then? Lovely natural shot. Was it shot in your local patch? :toast:

Nice one Phillip - I'm jealous too as I saw two for the first time in months the other day, only problem was it was tipping with rain and that dull the exposure would have been about 3 weeks@f1.
Then to top it off I was out with the spaniels this morning (no cam as too old to multi task) and was greeted by a Yellow Hammer who sat there not more than 15 feet from me singing his little socks off - always the way

Regards

Andy

Great shot, really like it! I saw my first Longtailed tit last weekend and sat waiting for half an hour or so hoping to get a shot but no luck. I might follow your lead and try from the car this weekend in the spot where I saw it last.

Best wishes.

I like the muted colours, typical British weather.

The bird looks good and a great BG.

Wow that is the cutest little bugger I've seen in a long time. Great frame there!!!
Is this bird the same size as a chick-a-dee?

Hi Tony the overall length is about the same size as a blackcap chick-a-dee.

As soon as I hear high pitched squeaking I know the LTTs are about. When I see a photo like this it makes me all the more determined to capture an image. No luck so far though
:frown: . Excellent shot! :toast: :toast:

Very nice phillip, long tailed tits are very cute. My local reserve has no car park and hides... so i'll have to be extra sneeky... but they seem to be breeding there.
