Taken on 7th Feb during the cold spell. -5 at Slimbridge with most of the lakes frozen and a very heavy fog lifting (at last by lunch I could see something, lovely afternoon eventually). Cropped 50% to pano.

1DS mk2 100-400 lens at 100 ISO250 1/640 at f11 handheld. Processed in Capture One and Photoshop. Lots of playing with levels and contrast and a small amount of saturation.

Nice atmospheric image, wish the swans were a bit larger in the frame.

Very nice.

The mist makes the swans stand out well.
And I like panoramic composition.

Hi John

Great light and atmosphere. Good crop. I would prefer the swans a bit larger in the frame. Nice image though.

cheers

Very, very nice indeed.I love frost covered landscapes so find this one especially appealing.
Brings back many memories of enjoyable (and cold ) days spent in the hides at Slimbridge.
