Here at the world headquarters of Skyline Press (my messy office in a room in our house), I'm working on a Rocky Mountain National Park book by our amazing CNP cohort, Erik Stensland. I've pretty much decided which photo to use for his bio photo, but thought I'd let his friends here pipe in with their opinions. Post your thoughts in this thread and let Erik know which photo would serve his purposes best!

7 or 8, maybe both with one in the front and one in the back.

Can't wait to see the book!

5

...or 9

A book sounds wonderful! Can't wait to see it!

# 9 - Definitely!

Or, I guess # 5 or # 7 would work too.

9's got to be the sentimental favorite.

#5 or #7 depending on the best fit for the page would be my other choices, too.

I am thinking #4 and/or #7 but I think #9 needs to make a small appearence as well. :jump:

Clearly #9 Is this even a question?? ... I like 1&2 for the smile factor. You know that there is something wrong when the tripod head is bigger than your camera. Also, are those night vision goggles? I didn't know they came in orange with the special 1-eye sunblocker. I see alot of teenage girls and pop stars wearing these type of goggles. Must be a trend.

#1 or #7 for the bio page. #9 for the front cover!

I double dog dare you to use #9!

I'm partial to #5.

#1 gives a nice sense of scale but the hot spots created by Erik's pasty, white legs are a bit distracting. If only he had them double-covered like in #3...

I also think we should re-do the our logo. Maybe we could remove all those beautiful images and replace them with picture #9, the shot of Darren and his beach ball at GSDNP, etc.

#9 is the only choice! :toast:

I'd put #3 on the inside front and #9 inside back

I think #5 looks good. Can't wait to see the book.

I like #7 best for the feeling of vertigo it conveys. #9 really should appear somewhere in the book (LOL)

BTW, that paste-y white problem can be easily fixed in photoshop

9 by far. But if you dont choose that one, I like 2 or 7

For a traditional approach, with this group?, I would go with 2 or 3. I like the sense of scale from 7, though 6 is also good. I like Erik's expression in 2 and 3 better than 6 or 7. Number 9 is more like this group, but don't you normally remove the sticker from the goggles so that you can see to focus the camera?

#7 . It depicts not only Eric, but it also gives a hint into the various environments where he spends the time needed to find those awesome images.

Todd, I think you should use the photo you unknowingly took of me in May 2005 on Tombstone Ridge, RMNP.

I like #5

#9 is a classic!! But I'll toss my vote in for #5.

Congrats Erik on the book!! Can't wait to get a copy.

9 should be on the cover of the book! 7 is my other option though

Number 1 and 6. Congrats and look forward to seeing the book

Although I would love to see #9, I think #2 or #7 might be wiser choices. Congrats on the book, Erik. Well deserved!

#6 is nice - use #9 for the cover!
