Well - almost in the rain. It was starting to break up as I took this picture. I never have spent much time photographing this lake, though if I have some nice clouds I might return.

Tim, you are really starting to dial in the B/W work! The contrast in this image is very nice and I like the overall comp too.
The water at lower left seems a bit odd though, it's a bit darker than the rest of the lake. Any thoughts why?
Great mood in this image Tim, well done!

The darker water in the lower left is due to the effect of the polarizer - which I probably would have been better off without. I noticed it while I was developing the image but haven't decided what to do about it yet. I may have to take another look at that area.

Really nice Tim! I too like the mood - perfect for black and white. And I think you've got some great clouds in this one - the way they follow the slope of the terrain on the right. The narrow break between the edge of the clouds and the horizon is interesting to study, along with all the detail of the rocks along the shoreline. But the dark water area does seem a bit out of place - hope you are able to do something there. Beautiful work!

Well, I took another look and with a few more targeted adjustment layers I made a few things better (I hope!)
