The Royal Alberta museum in Edmonton, Alberta is showing a Galen Rowell restrospective on now until July 2. The exhibition showcases 39 of Rowell's images and is based on the book Galen Rowell - A Restrospective released in October 2006.

I have not yet been to the exhibition but I definitely plan on going. I realise there aren't many NPNers who live near or plan on visiting the Edmonton area. However, sometimes just being aware of an exhibit and making an official request through your local museum can result in your town being added to the list of places the exhibit will show. We have been very lucky here in Edmonton as far as photo exhibits go for the relatively small size of our city. We have had the wonderful Shell Wildlife Photography show stop by on its tour the last two years and the quality in that show is simply jaw dropping.

Here's a link to the Royal Alberta Museum and you'll see the hotlink to the Rowell exhibition on the right

Wow, that sounds great. I hope that exhibition makes it's way down south.
