Hi Guys,

I am a Dutch Nature & Wildlife photographer and i have got a trip planned in November to go to Australia and Tasmania.
Does any of you perhaps have some great tips on one of these countries on what to see, or even better...where to shoot the greatest wildlife.

Hope to hear from you!

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Hi Joroen

Australia has lots of great photo destinations. Can't say as I know which are great for wildlife specifically although I'm sure someone will. I was there last Feb. On some of the side roads off the Great Ocean Road we saw lots of koalas and kangaroos.

I did get the opportunity to go to Tasmania but only briefly. Went to a place called Cradle Mountain National Park which I would highly recommend. LOTS of wildlife of all kinds.

Have fun, Australia is the kind of place you could spend a lifetime shooting in.

Get your shots of wild tasmanian devils before they go extinct.

How long are you here for, Just the 1 month in November and are you going to both the mainland Australia and Tasmania...oh and they are all the one country

I'm in Melbourne in Victoria and could tell you many places to visit in Victoria alone let alone the other states.

I'm writing a article on Wilson's Promontory at the moment and it would be Victoria's most loved National Park. Wonderful area. At that time of year you won't need to book in advance although highly recommended. If you were coming in December, January then you would need to stick a ballot in for camping 6 months in advanced.

Give us a idea of where you want to go and I'll give some more ideas

I have photographed extensively in Tasmania the last 1.5 years and currently am working on Victorian landscapes. Tasmania is particularly easy to cover : an amazing variety of landscapes within a tiny area. Drop me a line if you want more details.
