...for making it into a story on the ABC News Web site in a story about the meteorologists who man the station atop Mt. Washington, NH. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2909128
Please remember us when you're really famous.

Interesting story! I've always been intrigued by "the winds atop Mount Washington" since learning about it in grade school!! Neat to "know" someone, sorta anyway, who has first hand experience. Hang on to yout hat Jim!! Which I'm sure you do!!

I first saw the link to the ABC site on fark.com, but noticed this morning, when the article showed up in our tiny Pueblo, CO, paper, that it's an AP story. Pretty cool.
Count me among those also astounded by Jim's youth. I figured he was some ol' weather hound from way back when.

Thanks guys..
It was a travel day so I just saw this...before I saw the article myself, I found this thread. Congrats to me...what'd I do...?!?!? I'm amazed the reach that this story has gotten, but it is a pretty amazing place up here.
I've been at the job for about four years now...Immediately after graduating college for those asking of my age. As much as I love the mountain, it's not a job I can do forever (salary/schedule), and I'll be leaving this summer to teach hs physics in NH...and persue photography more seriously! But the experience I've had...

Congratulations on the article and on the career change, Jim. Both are very exciting! I switched careers last year and it was the best thing I ever did. Best of luck to you in your new endeavor.
