Cactus Swirls
Hey All - Sorry I have been in hiding for so long. My life has been sort of like this picture going on several paths with a whole lot of chaotic swirls coming through.

We are possibly looking at moving to Phoenix area in the summer, my hubbie's job may be transferring us down there. I am excited to possibly get into the sun, but I will miss the Northwest. My family is here, so I know I will be back to visit if it all comes together.

I have been busy with year end at my day job, so not much time for shooting lately. Little Kev was asked to submit to a new youth photography magazine, so I was working with him yesterday. I will post some of his new work in the next few days.

This cactus shot was taken in Palm Springs in January, when I slipped away from the conference for a couple of hours. The first shot I have processed of my own work in a couple of months. Things are settling down a bit, so hopefully I will get out to shoot a bit more often.

Lots of new names posting over here, it is great to see you all so active. I miss you guys! I will try to check in more often and post some more of my work.

Nikon D70, ISO 200, 105mm macro, 1/4 sec@f/16, curves, levels, saturation, tripod

I like it, Beth. What about adding black to the leaves (via a selective color layer) to separate them more from the background?

Excellent Elizabeth - it has your style written all over it. I also agree with Mark's suggestion
