I have been a "dyed in the wool" C1 Pro user/supporter for many a year and never thought I'd find anything I thought was better.
Like Tom, I was on the Beta trial of Lightroom and now use the full version for all my RAW work.
I find the quality of the user interface, the image processing that's possible and the whole workflow a dream to use.
I always thought that the RSE product was very good and very bad in equal measures. It seems that Adobe has successfully integrated the very best from RSE and moulded round it their undoubted expertise in image processing and a very friendly user interface (in my opinion).
As to books - I would be extremely suspicious of anyone who produced a printed offering at this early stage. The full Lightroom product is different to the Beta in some significant ways and in any case, it is far too early for anyone to produce a so called 'definitive guide' to a product that has only been with us for a short while (IMO)
Martin Evening has an Adone Lightroom book due to be released end of April, this should be invaluable to any user of Lightroom if his Photoshop books are anything to go by.
The first chapter can be downloaded from Photoshopnews.com at http://photoshopnews.com/2007/01/30/the-adobe-photoshop-lightroom-book

Not a book exactly, but Michael Riechmann is flogging a downloadable tutorial from his Luminous Landscape Website ;
Lightroom tutorial video
It's in stages, (only 3 out of 8 so far available) but for $19.92 it sounds a reasonable investment.
I plan to download the free 30 day trial soon, and then decide if it is good enough to replace Breeze Browser.......
cheers
Sean
