Does anyone have a copy of Photographing the Southwest - Volume 3 Colorado & New Mexico by Laurent Martres? If so what are your thoughts. I have Volume 1 Southern Utah and found it useful on my unfortunately cut short (dang food poisoning) photo trip to the Cedar Mesa area last fall. There were several interesting locations listed in the Southern Utah volume I was not aware of and am wondering if the same may be the case in his book on Colorado. Having only lived in Colorado for a little over three years I'm certain there are places that I'm still not aware of. And I know almost nothing of where to photograph in New Mexico.

I've got it and though I haven't had a chance to use it, I've read through it quite a bit. I think it's every bit as good as the first two editions.

I like mine a lot. There are a few of the old familiar haunts that we may be familiar with and also some new area to get excited about exploring. For my style it is slightly iconic, but it is at least as good as the other volumes. If you watch for the photo credits, you'll see a couple of familiar names frome the RMNP group

I found it worthwhile and as good as the other two volumes. There are some of the obvious locations listed, but several less-photographed areas as well. I would definitely recommend this book.

It's funny you should ask. Mine just arrived today. I'll put in my 2 cents later this weekend after I've have a chance to dig through it.

Jesse Speer has some photos in that volume and had some for sale. You might contact him to see if he has any left.
I've been impressed with it. Detailed and nicely illustrated. It even had some areas in Colorado I didn't know much about. Recommended.

There's nothing to photograph here in New Mexico.
