Young arctic fox in his summer pelt with just a trace of white left in the tail. Taken in iceland June 2006. He crossed the road ahead of us and when I drew level and got out to see where he had gone I saw him watching us from the lava field off to the side. managed to get out of the car and get off a few shots before he spooked.

Converted to B+W in Capture NX, comments would be appreciated esp concerning the darkness and contrast I have set.

It looks quite good to me.

On my monitor, the foxes body (lower half) and legs do look rather black, (I can see all the levels in a greyscale bar). It would be nice if possible if a bit more detail were discernible. The tail looks good!

I like the straight on stare.

Nice eye contact, but lacking detail in the blacks. Never tried B and W so can't offer any advice :frown: Like the idea though
