When I was out shooting just above Snoqualmie on Thursday afternoon, came upon this little creek. I did want you all to notice the twigs on those little snow covered branches are turning that wonderful reddish color that says they are coming alive and ready for foliage - as soon as the snow melts. Charge up the batteries and dust off those lenses because prime photo takin' time is just around the corner!

I'm surprised there have been no comments on this one, Janet. The exposure is terrific, showing nice detail in the snow. I also like the depth the composition brings. If there were a negative it would be that one tree/branch that falls into the stream. It seems to break up the flow of the image. Other than that, I really like the scene.
I didn't really post this because it's an excellent photo, but because before I translated it to post it really did show that red in the young growth of the vine maples that I see as spring approaches. I realized after posting, that my photo had basically become a B&W. I think the little stones are kinda marshmallow cute looking. Other than that the background is wayyyy too busy. Fall storms knocked down bunches of trees, so few uncluttered shots in the very wooded areas. Still enjoyed the day out.
