Hi folks, I've been digging through my archives importing folders into Adobe Lightroom. As I was doing so I ran across this image. It is cropped by about 30% from the right side. Nancy & I had driven to the Bellevue Botanical Garden on a whim a couple of years ago. It was raining most of the the way there so we weren't overly hopeful of getting all that lucky with our images. But the rain stopped as we parked and the flowers were (as you can see) dripping wet!!
Beautiful - love the reflections in the drops of water. Last time I was shooting water droplets I got home and discovered that they perfectly reflected my lens (arghhh). I've been going thru some floral shots from last spring - finding that yellows and pinks in flower images get pixelated easily. It takes a light touch to maintain the range of light and shadow without clumping the colors. Yours is beautifully done.
Rick, I love, LOVE the effect of the droplets in this, especially the big hanging one that encases a fantastic reflection. That's really !
What I'd do is crop tighter- off the bottom- and darken the stem. Then it's a keeper, IMHO, 'cuz the oof and bright lower petal is too much and overpowers the rest, I think.
