Why does it look to me like the ducks thinking "OH C£*P!" ? Nice action shot.

"that's not flying that's falling with style!" Buzz Lightyear would be proud. Funny shot

Well timed shot Alan. The detail and exposure looks spot on. +1/3rd compensation? I was using -2/3rds today as I didn't want to blow the whites. What metering are you using? I used centre weighted.

Thanks

Rob - when i use the 1.4TC on my 500 and 20D, i tend to up the compensation to +1/3.Depending on what i'm shooting the shots always come out right. But i drop it down to 0 when shooting something with loads of white, like swans. Then the whites dont blow.

When i'm not using the 1.4TC, i would like you give it some - .

And i'm using centre weighted aswell.

Thank you all for your comments :toast:

I think the slightly open bill and the tongue showing gives the impression that he's not totally in control and it's just about to all very pear-shaped very quickly. Excellent image

Love the pose, he looks as though he has just seen you and trying to do an about turn!

I must appoligise in not putting what the Shoveler was upto when i took this shot  .

The reason for the strange angle was the Shoveler was chasing another Shoveler away from his lady friend(or he was just trying to impress her lol).

Thank you for the kind comments :toast:
