Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted for a while so I thought I'd go for something quite different. This was shot during the mini-winter that we had about three weeks ago. I was in Lancashire looking for brown hare and spotted this barn owl flying down one of the drains. It must have been starving as it was flying in heavy winds and driving snow (yes that's real snow not photoshop skills  )

1DSmkII & 600mm, 1/250 @ F6.3, ISO 400, 20% crop.

Like this one a lot Elliott - anything that screams environment as well as subject matter in the way this does is right up my street.

Nice shot and I agree with Mark in that I appreciate more of the special environ/subject interaction as well.

Very nice. The snow looks good.

I hope the owl was successful

Very nice Elliott. Don't have a clue about Barnie habits, but I'd make sure any food was delivered to my house on a day like this! Lovely shot and the snow is a real bonus :toast:
