Red Squirrel
This was taken last year in the Scottish Highlands while staying near Newtonmore. Over the period of the two week holiday this little chap got quite used to the nutter creeping around with a camera and pretending to be a tree

So, on the penultimate day I managed to get quite close to him and get this shot.

All c&c's greatfully received.

1D MkII, 300/2.8 IS + 2x EFII, ISO 400 1/100th @ f6.3, tripod, full frame. Processed in Lightroom & PSCS.

Great shot.Lovely perch, and a great pose.

The ear tufts look like they're just beginning to show, i'm guessing it's a mating thing?

Nice image, and I really like your composition here. Tail looks a little hot on my laptop though, but easily fixed.

Beautiful shot. I'd gladly swap all the grey squirrels round here for a couple of these!

Always fun working with these little fellows :toast:

Nice setting and with a bit of adjustment to highlights in the tails a good shot to have in the can.
