Many of you have seen Jim Salge's fine photographs here on NPN in the Northeast forum and others. Some of you may know that Jim is a meterologist and works at the Mt Washington Observatory and spends a fair amount of time on top of Mt Washington every year. If you ever wondered what a weatherman does for fun check this out !!

Hey Jim,

I'd say I'm suprised you found this, but instead I'm REALLY suprised how this video has taken off. I was on foxnews yesterday because of it?!?!!?!?!

Just my coworkers and I trying out the energy flux with the thermal camera, but certainly having a good time in the weather we love!

Glad you enjoyed! :wavey:

Jim...and I thought you guys were just playing  I had heard some comments on a local radio station in Burlington,VT about you guys doing this, so it was cool to see the video.

Jim,

Love to be up there with you helping out with the experiments. I really like the photos you have taken from there.

Autographs signing will be saturday at Tower Records in Times Square...

Seriously though, I've sat on the mountain for four years, and this is the first winter that it hasn't been an essential hermittage. The press this season has been remarkable... and very strange for our crew!

The Infrared camera was a student researcher's from the University of RUHR in Bochum Germany. We hosted 12 student last week, and a few are now staying with us for a month to work on projects...this experiment wasn't one of them, but how do you turn an op like this down!

I thought the experiment was fair and balanced.

No wonder Fox liked it.
