Here's a shot I took the other morning along Spavinaw Creek. The eagles will probably be leaving soon for cooler temps, if they haven't already. It sure doesn't take long to appreciate the skill that goes into getting good wildlife shots - I wish mine were better.
I'd like to know if the OOF clouds and moon weaken this image for anybody. I normally shoot this lens wide open for the best sharpness in the subject, but have to pay for it in depth. But in this case, I kinda liked the softness. Thanks for your comments.
Nice image. I like the OOF moon and clouds here. They add a nice touch.
By the way, I got a promo e-mail from Nerds Software the other day showing off their (very nice) web design software. The featured site they sent was yours. Very nice.

Bill - the soft moon and clouds really works for me - it gives the background a dreamy quality that really adds to the image. Nice job! I kind of wish the angle of the eagle were a little different (e.g., a classic 3/4 profile), but otherwise very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Personally I like this as captured. Very nice softness that enhances the subdued colors giving this a very nice background for the eagle in flight. Two thumbs up!
