In late March I be spend a few days in Pahrump NV.
Thought I bring the camera and look for some photo oppurtunites, especially sunrise or sunsets.
Has anyone been there or close by that has any places to recommend.
I understand portions of Death Valley are not too far away too.
Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions what so ever for that part of NV. If it's near DV, then by all means head over there! Sunrise at Badwater and/or Zabriski and/or any of the dunes... wish I had better suggestions.

Red Rock Canyon is another area: http://www.nv.blm.gov/redrockcanyon/
In terms of Death Valley, that's about 2 hours away, give or take.
