CANCELLED - in as much as Danny and I will not be turning up. The weather forecast is not good enough for us to be relatively certain that Adders will show and that is why we were going.:frown: It is a long drive for a wet bog, if you chose and go and see them let us know! GPS position would ne nice :wink:

PS Saturday has a better forecast but I have to work.

The next Gathering is

On: 25th Mar 2007
At: Thorne Moor and here
Time: 9am
Meeting Place: The is a public house at Moorends- be there
Lead: Danny Green
Subject: Bog land and Reptiles

Thorne moor consists of a lot of walking so come prepared.

Please bring boots (of some description) as Thorne Moor is known for Adders .

Note: Adders are a protected species so no handling them and please leave any dogs at home.

Count me in. I've never seen a live Adder so I'm really looking forward to it. I hope we get some reasonable weather.

I think we should keep a close eye on the weather and therefore if you are planning on coming then keep looking on the forum because we are after all looking for adders and they won't be out if the weather is bad.

Fingers crossed and hopefully they have got it wrong.

Well did anybody go? The weather here (Leic) got a bit better in the afternoon (2pm+) but this morning was dire.
