Nikon Capture NX vs. Capture One LE

I use Capture One LE and have been very happy with it, but have been reading lots of good things about Capture NX as well. Has anyone done an actual comparison of the two, or know of a comparison review somewhere?

I'm particularly interested in perhaps supplementing C1 LE, not replacing it - using whichever converter might be best for specific situations or purposes.

Any input from Capture NX users would be appreciated.

I tried Capture NX. It did great RAW conversions, but it was crazy slow. I understand the latest version is faster, but I haven't tried it. You can download a free trial version Here.

I haven't tried this version because the software knows I used a trial version for 30 days already and I don't know where it hid that info in my computer.

Thanks Pete - can you tell me how it compared to ACR, especially with high contrast images?

I can't really compare the two. I had limited experience with Capture NX and I'm just now starting to use the current ACR by way of Adobe Lightroom. It's good to have choices though!

Capture NX won't accept NEF files directly from the card in the camera (D80).

So far I have experimented with Capture NX and it is too soon to tell if it will be my favorite imaging editing software. But it is promising. I just have to learn to use it more effectively and that will take a bit more practice.
