Hi Everyone,
I am planning a photography trip to GSMNP on April 26th. I've read a lot of the posts that suggest biking the Cades Cove loop in the early morning......... and that's what I am hoping to do.
I understand that you can't make reservations at the Cades Cove campgroup before May. Does this make it impossible to find a tent site at Cades Cove that time of year?
I've never been there that time of year, but I'm sure it can be crazy.
Any info wuld be appreciated.
Thanks!
Mark

Not sure about Cades Cove Campground but there are several campgrounds in Townsend. I like Tremont Hills which is the last one before the national park boundary. Just 7 miles from Cades Cove.

Mark I will tell you that Gatlinburg will be having their anual Spring Wildflower Festival around that time, not sure if its more than a week or just a weekend. But I know Townsend has a spring fest the weekend before. So not sure if you would have any problems with getting a campground sight. I know many hotels in townsend are really booked in mid to late april. If you need any input on cades cove, I currently live not far from there, but will be moving to jonesbourough area in a few weeks.
