Hello All,
It's been a while since I've posted anything. I bought a new to me lens this week on Ebay. It's a 75-300 f4-5.6 Nikkor lens. I got out with it yesterday at Potato Creek State Park just south of South Bend, Indiana. Still lots of snow on the trails, very difficult walking. Wooster Lake at the park (327 acres) was very much frozen up except for a couple of areas where springs or the creek had the water moving. The waterfowl were all compressed into just a very few acres of open water. These male swans were competing for rights to the open water and proximity to a female. They had really violent battles, trying to hold each other's heads under the water, etc.
This lens is really nice. It really extends my reach over my 70-210. It seems very crisp. It was wonderful to get out in the sunshine and walk.
