Hi to all,
Dipper , Taken on saturday , managed to get a little closer than the first shot with it's wings spread , this is my best shot to date of this beautiful bird.
Slight crop , Levels and Usm (150,0.2,0,x1)in CS2
1/400th @ F4 iso400
Canon 20D , 500mm F4 L IS , W/Hv2 , r/r , Gitzo 1325
A nice one, I actually prefer this to your other, it looks to be a tad sharper where it matters, detail also appears to be well held in the light and dark plumage.....

Another very nice dipper image.
I like the detail it shows in the plumage.

I like this a lot. Saw one for the first time at the weekend...without my camera i hasten to add Not convinced this looks sharp although I'm on my work monitor. Could you not apply those sharpening values a couple more times on the bird alone? I reckon it would make a difference to web presentation

Hi to all,
Thanks for the comments and advice.
Hi Graeme,
In the printed form this is very sharp and looks superb on Ilford smooth pearl , a quick question , how would I go about just sharpening the bird alone , my photoshop skills at
the minute arn't that good and as you say another couple of rounds of usm would improve
the sharpness no end.
