Detail of Starvation Creek
Took this some weeks back after meeting Rick in the Gorge. Looking for thoughts on composition and design in general. Thanks!

(I'll have to add the exposure specifics later... sorry, mods)

Ned, Like it a lot. Shutter speed is perfect, makes the froth at the bottom look like little strings of cotton. Polarizer? Like the scheen of the water over the lower right corner. Color is right on and brightness is perfect. :jump: :jump:

Polarizer for sure.... I zoomed in with my 70-200 to pick this out. I like it too..

Water seems more on the grey side - I'd consider brightening it up. Not sure about the 2 leafs underwater at the bottom... I'd either crop above them or clone them out.

I like how it sort of fades off into the distance.

John L said my thoughts perfectly. I wonder if cropping the bottom is an option... Love the water effect, perfect here.

Colored rocks, actually... thanks for the comments!

Ned,
I have to be honest and say this isn't one of my favorites of yours. I feel like my eyes are wandring around looking for a point of interest. I don't think I have ever said this about one of your images. IMHO of course.

Thanks for the comments again. The interest for me, or motivation to shoot, was the "S" curve of the water feature... and the "face" silhouette in the darker rock. It looked good through the viewfinder anyway! Thanks again.. :wavey:
