Can anyone explain to me how to burn images to a cd, using either PS 7.0 or Capture NX? I've just started my first real photography class and all assignments must be on a cd. Thanks.

Zandall - I'm not sure that I'd use either of those to do it (or even if they can do it). Your images are just files like any other, so they can be burned to a CD using whatever CD burning software you've got. If you haven't burned a CD before, I'd suggest figuring out what CD burning software you have (I'd guess some came with your computer, if you have a burner), and looking through the instructions there.

I suppose there must be a very good reason that CDs & DVDs always require a standalone creator because it's a real pain to have to do it outside the program you used to create the file you want to burn. A very common burning package is Nero check for that in your programs.
