Out for a swim
This is one of those shots where I am torn about "catagorizing" it. It has an avian subject but is not very close to include the normal amount of details(feathers, eyes, etc etc) the avain shots here accomplish. I was at Lake James(againnnn) just a shootin away at this Canadian Geese couple wishing they would turn the right way for me when the sun rose enough to start illuminating the trees in the back ground. When the pine tree on the right lit up the geese fell into place. Tell me what you think
2 shot stitch
Canon 400D,Tamron 200-400mm,1/30 sec @F13,tripod

The ripple beteween the left goose and the rock point is where I just missed a fish splashing around.

"It has an avian subject but is not very close to include the normal amount of details(feathers, eyes, etc etc) the avain shots here accomplish." It's alright to be abnormal Leann.

cool scene, what I can't quite figure out is an individual is called Canada Goose, correct? While more than one is Canadian Geese? I see it written different ways and am not sure if that is a correct assumption.

Richard,
LOL are you just saying that so you can feel better about yourself: "It's alright to be abnormal"
As for the Canadian thing I believe it has to do with that darn metric system(as good an explination as any).
Thank you for commenting.

Yes, I was trying to console myself when I came to that realization.

Nice shot Leann.

Richard, the plural is Canada Geese. If you have seen it written as Canadian Geese then it was written incorrectly.

Thanks for the tip Josh. I'll have go back and verify my own keywording and captioning.
