Last Sun morning a quite breeze was blowing big banks of fog off the columbia river 1500 or so feet below and several miles south. Took this shot just as the fog started to overtake the Dalles Mt. Ranch farmhouse giving it a sort of "Psycho" house on the hill look. Let me warn you now, if you go anywhere in this area of the gorge now, take bug spray and watch for ticks. Found 8 little buggers on my clothes about 1/2 hour after I took this shot. Found one at home on me last year and 2 the year before.
Jerry,
Not a bad shot. I kind of wish the trees weren't obscuring the view of the house. I'm wondering if you moved about 45 degrees to the left and shot from there with a "little" tighter crop.. Hard to say what it would come out like.

I can see your "Psycho" take but it needs to be darker and creepier to pull that off.
I wonder what it would look like if you cropped a lot off the top and left.

I like the detail of the trees, and the careful composition to get the windows framed by the branches. It's hard to believe those rascally ticks are already out in force!

Thanks for the comments guys. Took some of the suggestions, Cropped, darker, added a little contrast. This feels better to me. Also removed iron fence posts.
The colors are getting a bit worked but what about this? It seems to me that if you're going to have those weirdo trees in front of the house, you might as well make them the main feature.
