Water Vole
Hi to all,
This is my first Water Vole , taken at the same site as the Dippers
last Saturday , fantastic experience seeing one for the first time.
Shame about the OOF stalk infront of his body , I'll try and compose it better next time.

Quite a large crop , Levels , S/hl and Usm (150,0.2,0 x3) in CS2

Canon 20D , 500mm F4 L IS , W/Hv2 , Gitzo 1325
1/640th @ F4 iso400

All comments and advice most welcome

Kind regards
Andy...

Lovely, they are charming animals. I dont mind the stalk, it shows the animal in its natural location.

I'll have to get back and get some better shots my self of them.

It's the karaoke variety as well, very endearing looks like a mini beaver. Seems you have a nice spot, nice low angle.

Chewing on the ash buds certainly does look like a kareoke performance. What was he singing 'Volare' ('Nel blu dipinto di blu')?. Excellent behavioural shot. :toast: :toast: :toast:
