I've had one for a couple of years now and I've been reasonably happy. It is handy to take along when you don't want to take your computer. However, the battery life is short and you'll need some power aorund if you're going to transfer a lot. I also wish it was faster to transfer - I have a PhaseOne back and regularly fill up 1 GB cards and it takes a good 15-20 minutes to download. If you can get one cheap then I would recommend it, otherwise it seems there are some better options out there right now.

Hope that helps.

I agree with Evan. Everything he said about the coolwalker is true. short battery life and extremely slow. my wife is a wedding photographer and has one. used it for one wedding and hasn't used it since. Nikon no longer sells them.
