I was wondering what folk did to quieten their cameras mirror operation - my D200 sounds like a fifty calibre rifle and I want to photograph foxes, I'll be lucky at the moment to get more than 1 frame a day!

I've tried wrapping it in a towel etc but met with little success - has anyone got a solution?????????

Thanks for reading

Regards

Andy

How about one of these:

Just don't look at the price, bubble wrap is cheaper and you can pop the bubbles when bored.

Have you got any idea what a 50 cal Rifle sounds like if thats the Case you'd be lucky to get even a wild flower, Best try a Pentax.

Hmm my D200 sounds pretty refined...its not a E-1, but its hardly a 1D or D1 for that matter which sounds like someone dropping a skip full of scrap metal.

Charles - very much so - Barrett M82A1 & AI AS50

Maybe I was being a little over zealous with the metaphor - but it is really noisy.

Will give the bubble wrap a go Tim - thanks for the link btw :toast:
