Goldcrest
One from today having only had my 800 back a couple of days after a service and repair (I fell over and decided to power drive it into the ground for the second time ???) This is really the first good opportunity I have had to check my lens out the heavy fall caused some damage to the lens mount and the lens started to back focus it took Sigma quite a bit longer to repair the minor damage to the lens than it did for nikon to calibrate the autofocus nikon uk took 72 hours Sigma took 32 days .

Phillip.

PP in nikon captured and then cropped to a4 proportions this is the first image I have showing the yellow and orange crest I am very pleased with it.

Cracking looking bird! The surroundings are a tad busy, but the bird looks great!

P.S. What is that little yellow thing in your signature??? I can't work out what it is, and it's doing my head in, LOL!

Hi Michael it's a little yellow duckling with its wing over its eyebrow looking into the distance it used to be a animated giff but the site for some reason wouldn't allow it to work.

Thanks for comment also.

Phillip.

Lovely colours on the crest Philip - worth the wait for the return methinks.

Excellent work with a very difficult subject. I have them in my garden - and they take fat from my feeded which I find strange - but they flit about so rapidly I don't know how you managed to get a shot at all.

Simply stunning Phillip - great, great capture, I love it :toast: :toast: :toast:

My 300 2.8 had to go back to sigma for a warranty repair at the begining of Feb, it was away 4 weeks and came back apparently working fine - only used it the other day and I'm a bit concerned as I cannot take anything like a sharp image above f5 so I think it'll be going back again.

Again though, stunning GC - thanks for the share!!

Regards

Cracking shot of an elusive bird showing the crest very well, although the image is busy this is how you would see them...
