Anybody out there using Windows Vista? So far I haven't heard very much about it but all of that has been negative.

Here is a warning from Canon: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&keycode=2112&fcategoryid=215&modelid=7474

I won't get into my experience with VISTA (I got it for my daughter’s computer). I can say that what I did after just setting it up for her. I purchased a full unregistered version of XP pro to load in my next computer in case VISTA is not what it should be by then.

This issue was discussed on another forum. it is a real issue. It only pertains to the 1D and 1Ds bodies. This means that the 1DMK2 or 1DsMK2 are not affected. Neither are the non 1 series cameras. The work around is to convert you TIFF files to PSD.

I agree Vista is not ready for prime time with serious image makers. I am about to buy a new lap top for my wife. I will buy a computer that still offers XP. They are out there, but mostly in the business lines not the consumer lines.
