Similar to one of my previous uploads but this is the pose I was origianlly after... the Tit looking away from the perch. Taken in Devon a few weeks ago.
Great shot - don't feel it needs any more saturation as suggested above. Might make it look overdone

Hi Graeme
Brilliant shot imho. Love the crop and the background and dof spot on.

Hi Graham, here's another one I have missed. For me I like everything about this shot, the plumage detail, eye conact/detail & exposure is faultless, the two tone background is an added bonus IMO.
Well taken
Vince
BTW, I can see an annoying dust spot up from the left wing next to the twig. Sorry about that
Hi Graeme,
Having only just recently finished a very long stint in my hide photographing garden/woodland birds, just how hard it can be to get all the elements come together is something I can particularly appreciate at the moment.
IMHO all the elements have certainly come together for you in this shot,i.e.beautiful alert but relaxed pose, superbly composed, excellent and well positioned perch, gorgeous soft light on both bird and background, really attractive backdrop, lots of detail and tack sharp, good head position (that's a tricky one and the cause of so many wasted frames ),nice bright eye,and to top it all off your processing looks superb, with a vibrant, colourful, but totally natural looking image.
I noticed in the main avian forum a couple of comments mentioning the crop,I disagree and think that this image suits the square format perfectly. The roughly 50/50 split between green and brown in the background works very well indeed.
As you can probably tell I like this shot a lot,but credit where credit's due,it is a superb image of a Blue Tit,IMHO.

Nicer pose, perch and BG. Lovely and sharp. I would give the colours a bit more saturation.
Really like the detail on the left foot.

Another corker , like everything about this , may I ask what the BG is ???
Kind regards

Andrew, it's a brown hedge with a tree line behind it. Really glows when the sun hits it!
