Yes, Ned this is a very sweet daff image. Perfect seperation. I wish for an ever so slightly deeper DOF on that left one...but thats a minor nit.

For all your notoriety as 'Falls' Fenimore, you sure have a knack for flowers up close. Seriously, I don't really even pay attention to 99% of all flower shots, but yours are really special, Ned. You just have a gift here. Strikingly beautiful image.
Beautiful daffs, Ned. Great color in both fg and bg. The DOF on the bg is wonderful. I can't explain why I don't think the DOF works as well for the flowers. I wish both daffs were sharp against the bg in this comp. Did you post this in Flora??

This was tough tough tough! juggling ISO, time and aperture to get that background right... was combating a breeze.... it hasn't been on Flora yet - but may be... feeling the love..thanks!

When I saw the title, Ned, I was expecting not to like it. Then I saw that it was sorta soft and said "ah, ha! now I don't have to like it". But then I looked at it for a few seconds and it really fell together. The background is nice, the flowers are really well positioned and all in all, it's a real nice shot.

Oh man, it's flower time again! Pretty soon tulips, then dahlias too! Thanks for reminding me, Ned, with this very nice 'dil shot!! I think it would look nice on Entrada...

Thanks, Geoff - where have you been lately? Gonna shoot the tulips this year?
