That is, if your definition of "backcountry" is the McDonalds parking lot in Woodland Park! I didn't even get an egg mcmuffin.

Todd,
Is this from this morning? If so I thought about turning back for the camera on the way to work. Really nice light and fog.

Yup, this morning. I was headed back down from the hills and had to stop to shoot this, regardless of the less-than-ideal perch.

Todd,
Did you just "5D" the y couloir?
Yes, that's right. "5D" is now a verb... it's usage is when Todd or any other 5D user, posts a ridiculous crop from his/her 5D!
Reference:
"There's no use 5D-ing the Pikes Peak Summit House, Todd's already done it!"

I need to get to McDonalds more often. Todd, you should do a book on unusual places to shoot from: McDonalds, bus stops, etc.

Jason, for this one I'd use the verb "100-400ed." I 100-400ed this shot from the McD parking lot. In fact, I totally 400ed it.

I love living in the backcountry! Amazing light the other morning. I marveled (and cursed not having a camera) all the way down the pass.
Nice tight shot, Todd.

Pretty cool. I bought my 100-400 with the idea of capturing shots like this.

I must be blind..I never saw a shot like this at Mickey D's. It's enough to take your mind off the food! You just never know. Nice one Todd.

It's sure tough to have to live in Colorado.

That's some view, regardless of where it's viewed from. Only one question...can I get some fries with this?
