No, its not you guys and gals. I love this group and I love Colorado. But I'm moving to Vermont in 2 months. I got an amazing opportunity to work with the Americorps in Vermont doing direct conservation work and helping out the park service for nearly a full year starting this May. I will be doing trail building/maintenance, watershed work, educating younger people about the environment and conservation, and other stuff like that. Unfortunately for me, and my forum addicted habits, the NENP is pretty much a non active forum. Since this is the only photography forum I have ever used, I'm sorta clueless. Anyone familiar with any regional forums for the North East?
I'm gonna miss you guys!! After my 1 year stint in Vermont, I'm either moving back to Colorado, or moving out to Portland. It's a long ways a way. Either way, I'm still going to be around on this forum all the time, I just won't have any new Colorado shots to share for a while.
Before the music kicks in, I just want to say that while I have not met any of you (except mike) in person, you ALL have made me a better photographer. I didn't know a thing about photography when I joined this forum, and now...i still don't know much...but I know more than I did before!!! No really though...you all have really helped me grow as a photographer, so thanks to all! I'll post some photos when autumn rolls around in the North East!!

Congrats on the new job, sometimes doing what you love is more important than where you are doing it. Plus you can always come back and visit, I'm certain the mountains are not going anywhere.
Jon, best wishes for your new posting. Sounds like a great opportunity to work outdoors a lot, something I have always thought I would like to do.
There is a rich photographic tradition in New England that you can tap into. Be sure to visit a camera store located in downtown White River Junction, one of those half-store-half-museum sorts of places full of old photo gadgets and curiosities and staffed by fascinating old photo geezers, or at least it was when I shopped there several years ago (before I became a photo geezer myself).

Good luck in Vermont! I good friend of mine is from out there and has always had lots of good things to say about it. I haven't been, but it sounds like a good place.

Congrats on getting a job that you have a passion for. Trail building is tough work! I'm sure it will be a great experience.
