Help would be much appreciated. Emails to Gretag Macbeth & ATI has not yet solved following problem.

I have for 18 months satisfacorily calibrated my Eizo CG 19 without a problem using the Gretagmacbeth eyeone display (with latest 3.61 software) on my Dell Gen 4 XPS PC with a ATI Radeon X800XT videocard.

Problem started yesterday when I loaded down from Dell site latest driver (date 09-02-2006) for the video card. Now when I calibrate monitor it all goes Ok till I click finish & following message appears.

" application error i1match.exe.
instrion at "0x010cb14B" referenced memory at "0x0000d0"
The memory could not be written"

On advice of Gretagmacbeth I deleted ATI catalyst software & also reinstalled i1 display but message recurrs repeatedly although the integers vary each time.

I note that there is a profle stored & it seems (using Photoshop/view/proof colours) that it is effecting monitor colours.

However of course that message worries me & not sure how well calibration working.

Is there anyone who has had similar problem or can in any case give some guidance to what this all means.

Thanks
howard

Do you still have your original driver CD? It might be worth rolling back the display driver.
One thing I learned about drivers - if it's not broken, don't fix it.

Thanks for sound advice Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!! You beat me to it

I had just returned to forum to post this message:

After about 10 hours of trying help desks of each company (ATI, Eizo, GretagMacbeth)I went back to older Radeon X800XT driver and problem has disappeared :-so bug in new driver, or at least the Dell version

I have learnt my lesson.

I agree with Guy; if it isn't broken don't install new drivers. Glad you solved th problem.
