I have a potential buyer that emailed a request for photo prints mounted on canvas. I have never heard of that, and can't picture that happening. From what several labs offer, I'm thinking that it's more like printing on canvas and mounting onto a frame.
Anyone tried the canvas matte prints from West Coast Imaging?
Feedback and shared experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I haven't tried them Richard but I have had good results from www.photosprintedoncanvas.com They print onto the canvas and then put it on a stretcher frame. It is UV sealed as well.
A friend of a friend had used them so I gave them a chance a whil back. Very good prices and the workmanship is really good. I have one hanging in my dining room now.
Other than printing on canvas and stretching all I can think they mean is the canvas texture board some labs use at time. I've used Pro Photo in Lakeland, FL for that before and it looks nice as well. www.prophotoimaging.com
I recently had a 24x30 in print made on glossy canvas. I used West Coast imaging and was very pleased with the results and the turn around. I highly recommend this house. My only nit with them is there general operation. You post your image online but you must fax or mail your order.

Interesting. I will have to try it for myself. Did you guys find that the frame added significant bulk and weight to the package? I'm considering turning down the sale because I'm not comfortable charging for and offering something I have never seen before but I will definetely try it with my own money when I have the chance.

Jim - That's not really true with West Coast Imaging. I've ordered there by sending an email, then calling with my credit card number. No mail or fax needed. I'd recommend them as well.

Hey Richard. I'm glad you posted this. I've never tried it, but have seen others work printed this way. It can look killer. I just ordered a print from photosprintedoncanvas.com, thanks to Liz's suggestion. It should be at my door within a couple of weeks. If you want, drop me an email and I'll let you know what I think when it arrives.

Thanks Dan. I found out that Calypso Imaging prints on canvas too, it's hidden so deep in their site though. I've been pleased with Calypso's regular prints, so I'm going to go with them for now once I get paid.
Hey, I jjust checked out that Photoprintedoncanvas site, and they have great prices. half the price as the other two labs mentioned above. Let me know how that print comes out. Hell I might just order some for myself thru there.
