TB beware..
Come on how much of a challenge is a shot when it's all lush and vibrant? Just kidding of course. This is some of that brown ready to transform in the GrandFather Mtn. area. Taken 3/24/07 at sunset.

I don't know why, but when I saw this image the name Eliott Porter came to mind. Maybe it's the subdued colors. That's what fall looks like in my local mtns. I like the use of the big rock foreground. you get a lot of detail out of that rebel.

btw, nice quote. i saw Walk the Line on tv at my hotel room last week and I can't believe how Joaqin Phoenix didnt' win at the Oscars that year. great movie, felt like I was watching Johnny Cash.

Thanks Richard!
I agree about Mr. Pheonix,s portrayal deserving more recognition. His mannerisms did make him so believeable. That is one cool movie. How is the trip going?

"How is the trip going?" It was great and wanted to move there afterwards, but then I found out today I didn't get hired so now I am grieving over New Mexico. :frown: I think i need to buy a 6 pack or something.

Very nice light, Leann. I'm with TB, however. I am ready for some green.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond, but I am having trouble signing on here.
