A trip out to Formby on Monday was one of my highlights of the year so far :) I spent 7-8 hours playing with the red squirrels and a couple of hours with this chap. Eventually it was confident enough to feed off my hand (what a buzz)
This is full frame taken with me lying down with a hazelnut in one hand and a 20D and 10-22mm zoom lens on a 16mm zoom setting in the other hand. The squirrel was approx 12" from the camera.

Fantastic Kevin.... I want a shot like this Arguably one of the best shots I've seen of these Squirrels and the angle certainly makes it more memorable.Top shootin'!

I would love to have a shot like this in my collection, fantastic stuff and like you say what a 'buzz' to be that close to such a wonderful creature

Tricky exposure too I'd guess - good work and always an enjoyable day to be had at Formby.

I had a grey squirrel that would come up to my porch and get some bread from me everyday but he went his own way after 3 years.
