A Cool Drink
A Follow-up from the Garden of the Gods Shot is this little shot from N Cheyenne Canyon taken later that same morning.

Nice cascade. I find my eyes resting at the bottom calm area a bit more than I like, but I'm not totally sure why. I think the bright lower rapid is cutting me off from exploring the rocks and upper cascades and leading me down to the bottom and then dumping me off. But it's also near midnight, so don't hold me to that in the morning!

I'm much happier with the shot this morning than I was last night. Time for a new monitor at home, I think; I could barely see the water flow at the bottom on my home monitor, but it stands out clearly on my work screen.

I like it! The soft textures look "flat" (literally 2d) and the hard textures look 3d, like they are extending out from the surface of the "print". Cool effect! I think you could do some very nice things with a B&W version too.
