Dipper Portrait
EOS20D, 400mm, f5.6, 1/100sec, ISO 100, -2/3 exp, tripod, bag hide, FF
Hi all, hope you're not too bored with the Dipper pics!
I don't usually like my birds this big in the frame but I know a lot of people do so I thought I would see what people think.
The female is massive at the moment, the nest is pretty much done so they both seem to be at a bit of a loose end (if thats possible for birds) while they wait for the big event - lots of standing around, preening and singing to each other - quite sweet really. Reminds me of my wife's pregnacy!

Mark, I think you have struck a great balance here. Its not so big that its dominating and yet it still opens the window on the dippers environment. Very nice indeed.
