I've seen a few photos recently that seem to show punchbowl without the famous Log in front of the falls. Anybody able to confirm if this log really is gone ?

I did a little searching and found an image dated last september, and the log is still there, snickering at the photographer  so I doubt that it is gone.

I swam up past the log last fall and it was planted in there pretty solidly, enough so I started to climb it for the ultimate perspective but it was too steep and slippery. Where have you seen these photos?

Sean and I were out there a week and a half ago. The log is still there.

The trillium was stating to bloom too.

I saw a recent shot without a log... but it belonged to mermaid-man... aka the mad cloner....

Yea, right and your camera has the flood plug-in built into it now.....

The mermaid must have moved the log for him.

I still say we tote a hack saw up there and solve the problem ourselves.

looks kind of funny without the log...I am so used to seeing it there that without it, it almost looks un-natural
